The successful failure is the person who knows that life is not easy and if you want to be something you must fight to win, not to lose less.

When you fight to win and you lose, it’s all of it. You are not gambling! You are putting everything worth fighting for into everything you do.

The successful failure knows that sometimes your all is not good enough. That shit hurts! That will take almost all of you — maybe 99.99% of you. How do you rebuild with just 0.01%? I don’t know, but you’ll find a way.

Finding that way will make you a successful failure. Success isn’t for everyone, it’s only for those who learn from adversity, setbacks, loss, failure, and reinvention. Success is not for quitters!

Fail your way to success — you’ll need that resilience and tenacity for when times get hard.

Explaining the image:

Below is a photo of sourdough. A sourdough mother can be decades old and never get moldy and it’s made from the discards of the previously used batch. Sourdough is the embodiment of a successful failure. Or to bastardize a Bruce Lee quote “Be like sourdough my friend.”

Be like sourdough
