The price of ambition

I never knew the cost of ambition would be enjoying the moment.

Being an ambitious person means that good enough is okay for now. We don’t sit still because there is an overwhelming self-imposed pressure for doing more. Doing more is not just doing more it’s being more. Being more productive, prepared, responsive, flexible, certain, unwavering, present, educated, humble, confident, but most of all, just more than yesterday.

This cost of ambition means always looking at the horizon when everyone you’re with is looking at the now.

I often ask myself “why do you feel like you still aren’t good enough?”
